Learning Objectives


After completing this help guide, you’ll be able to:

  • Update a person’s personal details.
  • Update a person’s address.
  • Update a person’s contact details.

 

For the most part, members can update their own information via MyCOMET. However, where required, you may also update the details of member on their behalf. 

 


Note: You can only update the details of members that have an active registration to your club.


 

Firstly, lets look at how you can update their main personal details (e.g. first name, dob, nationality, etc.).

 

  • Once logged in, use the quick search bar to search and find the person.


 

  • Select Edit.

 

 

  • Update the details as required then select Save.

 

 

Done! The updated details will be reflected on COMET and on the person’s MyCOMET profile.

 

Now lets update a person’s address. Since we will be working from the person’s dashboard, there is no need to navigate elsewhere in COMET. 

 

  • From the person’s profile, select the Contacts tab.


 

  • Select Edit.

 

 

  • Update the Address and Postal Code as required.
  • Update the Region and Place (suburb) as required.
    • The region and place fields are lookup fields so as you type you will be presented with options that match your search. Note that these fields are also dependent on each other so the options available in the place field will be dependent on what region you pick.

 

 

  • Select Save.

 

 

Great! We have now update this person’s main personal details and their address. Now what if you notice that their contacts are incorrect?

 

Well, to update a contact, stay on the Contacts tab and select the pencil icon next to the relevant contact. Update the details then select Save.

 


Note: If a person has multiple email addresses, the email address that is at the top is the Primary Email.
