Learning Objectives

After completing this help guide, you’ll be able to:

  • Viewing active contracts of player.
  • Submit termination of a player's active contract

For a player contract (Amateur Player Agreement) to be terminated, COMET requires a document to be loaded into the 'Contract Termination' section of the active contract. Although this is not currently regulated by NZF, see attachment at the bottom of this help guide for an template that can be used.

  • Once logged in, select your club’s name from the home page to be navigated to your club’s list of players.
  • Use the Name field to search and select the relevant player.
  • From the player’s dashboard, select Active Contracts.
    • Here you will be able to view any active contracts that the player has.
  • Select Edit on the relevant contract.
  • Select Documents

  • Upload a document to the 'Contract Termination' section

  • Enter a Date of Termination
  • Select Save as TERM.SUBMITTED

Note: The Date of Termination cannot be after the Date To of the contract. If you are terminating the contract after this date then the Termination Date should be the same as the Date To.

  • Contact your local Federation or NZF to confirm and finalise the termination.

Note: This will only terminate the contract, you will still need to terminate the registration once the contract termination has been confirmed.
